The rigorous boot camp curriculum is delivered through high-quality coursework and live, online classes led by instructors who are fully vetted by the university. Learn fundamental concepts of software development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python fundamentals, and AI tools like GitHub Copilot.
Portfolio Project: Build a client-side application using third-party APIs.
Work with servers, databases, and other back-end technologies, such as SQL databases, prompt engineering, and Node.js.
Portfolio Project: Engineer your first full stack application.
Develop a set of specialized skills using NoSQL databases, create full-stack applications using React, and learn computer science fundamentals like object-oriented programming, demonstrated with Python.
Portfolio Project: Create a MERN stack single-page application.
By the time you complete the boot camp, you will have mastered in-demand skills, built an impressive portfolio of software development projects, and earned a valuable Certificate of Completion in Coding from one of the country’s most prestigious universities.
You can choose between a part-time or full-time program. Both programs offer live class instruction and full support services — the only difference is your weekly time commitment.

This boot camp, offered in partnership with edX, is made available through a unique consortium delivery model to provide skills-based learning to participants across North Carolina and beyond. Participants will be taught by a university-approved instructor, while learning alongside students from other consortium-participating universities and institutions. Upon meeting the completion requirements, participants will be issued a certificate by UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies.
